THOUGHTS .......

A comment from Deb had me rethinking my target calories and protein. I was so busy trying to get ratios correct I never thought that my overall protein grams had dropped below optimum level for good health. I'm not sure whether I have it right yet but it does feel a little more comfortable.

I was cold yesterday and last night. There was a chill in the air because we keep getting these cols south winds. I don't like hot weather but I'm more than ready for warmer temperatures.


Today's 297 calorie breakfast. 
Fats = 76.8%
Proteins = 20.6%
Carbohydrates = 2.5%. 
After Lunch/snack  = 394 cal
Fats = 68,1%
Proteins = 20,6%
Carbs = 11.3%
After Dinner = 1090 cal
Fats = 62%
Proteins = 29.5%
Carbs = 8.5%
After Snacks and Drinks = 1174 cal
Fats = 61.5%
Proteins = 28%
Carbs = 10.5 %
Total calories for day = 1174 which is slightly above today's target.

We went shopping and had lunch in town. I wasn't really hungry and did not need the salad. John ate half of mine. I ran into a problem tonight. I bought a piece of pork belly to roast for dinner. Whoa! That's high in calories. Then I looked and saw Spark People counted it as being equal in fat and protein. It was the leanest piece of pork belly ever, so I fiddled with my calculations but it really is a guestimate. I decided to have a piece of dark chocolate and that took my calculation over the calorie limit but not too seriously. I remain uncertain about this trial. I thought my belly was swollen today. Maybe I am eating too much fat but it's too soon to say it's not right for me.

HOW DID I DO? .......

My calculations show that my ratios are a bit out but not worried about that today.

Breakfast:- 2 egg omelet with celery and herbs

Lunch: Green salad and cappuccino

Dinner:- Pork Belly with small piece of kumera, cauliflower and cabbage

Snacks:- Piece of chocolate. Camembert

Drinks:- Water x 1
Flavoured Tea Infusions x 4
Black coffee x 2

Daily Goal:- 1.5lt or 5 - 6 cups large *yes*

Exercise:- Walk or Cross-trainer *no*

September Total:- 13/60 km
