Thoughts for the day..........

Another day fit only for reading, watching TV and Blogging except I have nothing to write about.

We are ticking along not doing anything. I guess that's one of the advantages of retirement. We can do nothing and not feel guilty for being lazy.

I've done so little exercise for 5 weeks it's embarrassing. I need a fresh approach. A kindly plan of gentle exercise before my body gives out completely is on my agenda. The winter weather has put a real damper on my enthusiasm. there is water everywhere and we still have a storm watch or warning going out. How wet can it get?

Reporting back............

Had a long chat on the phone with our daughter-in-law. We will decide next Monday whether we will go to Christchurch August as well as September. How I wish our bus was ready to go one the road.

More rain but we are not getting the worst of it. The worst of it has been on the other side of the Coromandel Range. 

How did I do?

Lunch:- Cheese, onion, mushroom omelet. almonds and dried apricot 

Tea/Dinner:- Pork steak, carrot and parsnip mash, cabbage and apple

Snacks:- Almonds and dried apricot. salami, gherkin, rice crackers

Drinks:- Water x 0
Flavoured teas x 6

Daily Goal:- 1.5 lt or 5-6 large cups *yes*

Exercise:- Walk or Cross-trainer *no*
